Tetín Model Flying Club
LMK Tetín was founded in 1978. Founding members was Vlastimil Závora, Bohumír and Jiří Vrátných. Vlasta Závora had been voted as a leader of the club. And he is leader up to now.

The club focused on radio controlled gliders. The main radio transmitters was the set GAMA at that times, later the set MARS. The gliders was motored by 1.5 ccm MVVS engines. And the first planes powered by engines appeared. The council lend rooms and material for building of work-rooms. The members of club built the workroom and clubroom in 1979. The rooms was shared with shooting club. A new member Radek Holovský joined the club. Radek was interested in slot cars. Over time they came to a number of multi-channels (still non-proporcional transmitters) W-43 and Graupner Varioton. And finally, fully proporcional Graupner Varioprop 12S. And it was about something else. Young modelers was led also by Vlasta Závora. It was time the club has 15 teenageres, which was to Tetin pretty decent. They sometimes participated competitions A3 category.
Beginning of our RC flying was quite laborious, since we have broken up more than fly. We met "Mr. Modeler" Karel Flossman from Zdice village around 1985. Thanks to him we have learned especially take off and landing. He explained to us that the model on the landing must have a little more forward speed than walking, and it was merrit.
The velvet revolution came in 1989. The workshops was abandoned and returned because of restitution. Young modelers left the club, but adult remains. Places for flying was disapearing slowly so we start to search for one stabil palce as our base. I had been succesful. The former open-cast quarry a few hundred meters from Tetín. We started to even a surface by bulldozer, carried about 300 m3 of soil. The air field 80x12 m has been finished in 2003, and we could start operations.

Three years of work on the weekends has returned. Unfortunately, the progressive construction of buildings shortened the distance between the nearest building. We were looking for a new area further from the village because of safety.

We started to build a new airport mainly due to the understanding of the owner of nearby land on Kolednik Hill (Loc: 49°56'25.272"N, 14°4'34.141"E). We can open the airfield for flying after one year surface preparation.
The club is registered with the organization Techsport Beroun currently. It has 5 active permanent members. Occasionally flying with more enthusiasts into the air modeling.
